Format Design Lab is the specialised division of Silko dedicated to the world of quick service restaurants and chains.
Silko has long understood that in order to ensure the profitability of formats—i.e. kitchen layouts and configurations for specific types of restaurants or businesses—providing standard equipment or generic solutions is not sufficient. Instead, an integrated and customised approach is required.
Format Design Lab was created to offer integral support to the customer: from conception, research, development and prototyping through to industrialisation, production and technical assistance. For us, a kitchen’s design must be shared with the customer right from the outset, involving them in the creative process and concept development.
